Dussmann Group Executive Board member Jörg Braesecke will leave the company at the end of 2023 following two decades of service.
A board member with overall responsibility for the group's Care & Kids division since 2007, Braesecke has also served as managing director of Dussmann Group's private care business, Kursana, since 2003.
Kursana currently employs around 6,800 employees who look after around 13,400 senior citizens in 100 facilities throughout Germany.
Chairwoman of the Dussmann Group Board of Trustees, Catherine von Fürstenberg-Dussmann, says the group is indebted to Braesecke, adding: "Under his leadership, the Dussmann Group and the Kursana brand had become a leading provider of nursing and care for the elderly people.
Braesecke says following his tenure developing the Care & Kids division and sharing executive responsibility for the entire group, he is eager to make his final few years of work more flexible and believes now is the right time for such a change.
He adds: "I am very grateful to all my colleagues and employees.
The company respects his wish to leave after so many years and wishes Jörg Braesecke all the best.
It is important to address new challenges facing the marketplace with fresh and innovative ideas".
Appointment of Götz Leschonsky as Interim Manager, Care & Kids
Goetz Leschonsky, Kursana director of operations, will take over Braesecke's duties as Chairman of the subsidiary's Management Board on 1st January, 2024.
Leschonsky has been operations director since 2015.
In his new role, he will report to Dieter Royal, a member of the group's Executive Board and CFO of the Dussmann Group.
Leschonsky will be supported by Kursana commercial director, Ulf Bieschke.
