From 18th April to 2nd May over 100 GMB members at Process Flow Technologies Group subsidiary, Crane Building services, will be balloted for industrial action in a dispute over pay.
Months of negotiations have failed to move the employer from a base pay offer of 5 per cent.
The pay offer was rejected by 95 per cent of members.
GMB calls on Crane Services and Utilities, part of the Process Flow Technologies Group, to re-think its current position and table a meaningful pay increase to resolve this dispute and possible strike action.
Andre Marques, GMB London Region Organiser, comments: “It’s extremely disappointing to be in this situation as moving to an industrial action ballot is always a last resort.
“GMB has engaged in pay negotiations in good faith, however, quite simply our members are not being listened to.
“Our indicative ballot provided an overwhelming mandate to move forward so now members have their chance to decide if strike action is their next step.”
