A partner in DMH Stallard’s city tax practice has been admitted as a Freeman of The Worshipful Company of Plaisterers.
Built on over 500 years of tradition, becoming a Freeman is a first step for Ingrid McCleave in the process of becoming a Liveryman.
Ingrid is a corporate tax specialist in the law firm’s London office and was welcomed to The Worshipful Company of Plaisterers by Stephen Gilbert, a past Master and a member of the Court of the Company.
Gilbert says: “I am absolutely delighted that Ingrid has become a Freeman.
I’ve no doubt that she will make a great contribution to the work of The Plaisterers' Company.”
McCleave adds: “I’m very grateful to James Minett, the new Master Plaisterer and Stephen for the warm welcome they have given me.
“The Company does a tremendous amount of good work in society, particularly fundraising and I look forward to supporting those endeavours.”
The Worshipful Company of Plaisterers was originally formed in 1501 as a trade guild of the City of London to regulate the quality of plastering in the City and to safeguard the welfare and interests of plasterers.
The Company now works in the charitable sector raising funds through its members to support causes linked with the City and Plastering.
The Charitable Trust of the Company supports the Lord Mayor and the City of London and the Livery Company Movement.
The 111 Livery Companies donate over £75 million to charity every year.
