GMB union is pleased to announce major changes in Asda’s St Leonards superstore following a culture survey of its almost 100 members.
Members reported many long-standing issues for the night staff and positive action has been taken as a direct result of the survey.
After several weeks of investigation and negotiations, GMB is satisfied that change is underway and the damage is being repaired.
Josh Boyle, GMB Senior Asda Representative, comments: “What our members were reporting while on night shift was the most egregious bullying and harassment that simply could not continue.
“After GMB raised these issues formally with management, we are happy to report that action has been taken which should stop this pattern of behaviour.
“GMB has been carrying out similar surveys in other stores across the South, which we hope will bring similar, decisive results.
“This once again shows what a strong union can do and we encourage anyone who wants to see action in their workplace to join GMB today.”
