STRABAG PFS Awarded German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs Hard Services Contract

The German Federal Institute for Real Estate (BImA) has selected STRABAG Property and Facility Services to deliver hard FM services at the headquarters of the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in Berlin and three other locations.

BImA oversees the Federal government's property portfolio, with the contract extending an existing partnership with STRABAG PFS which has a history of operating complex federal properties that require special security clearances.

The main complex on Wilhelmstraße, with a total area of around 41,000 square metres, consists of several listed and modern building sections.

In addition to office and administration areas, the property also includes an underground car park with charging infrastructure and a day-care centre.

The three secondary locations, with a total area of around 11,100 square metres, include an office building on Mohrenstraße, a rented property on Taubenstraße, and two floors in the former Reichspost building on Französische Straße.

These buildings are also partly listed and place special demands on technical operations.

As part of the contract, STRABAG PFS will take over almost all maintenance and upkeep of the building's technical systems.
