Quayclean Australia has reported positive feedback from an integrated cleaning services contract Edith Cowan University awarded this year.
The university, one of Western Australia’s leading research institutions, is celebrated as much for its alumni as its long-standing commitment to sustainability.
Since partnering with ECU, Quayclean’s teams have performed daily cleaning, deep cleaning, and sanitation of high-touch areas, supporting the high presentation standards expected throughout the University’s facilities.
CEO, Mark Piwkowski, says the company’s detailed mobilisation plans and comprehensive integration of services with existing systems at Edith Cowan University (ECU) in Perth, are creating a strong partnership across the university’s vibrant campus sites.
He adds: “We have received numerous unsolicited emails and messages praising the quality of work, the open communication, and the friendly, smiling and polite nature of our workers,” said Piwkowski.
“One message, following a recent event on campus, said 'in my whole working career I have never come across such an amazing service from a cleaning supervisor.' This feedback is very heartening and is a tribute to the workers and leaders who are ensuring students, staff, and visitors experience clean, safe, and healthy environments.
The transparent nature of our relationship with ECU was established on day one and has led to a strong understanding which provides great flexibility and reactiveness to changes where required.
We have developed a greater understanding of the campus sites operations which has enabled us to continue to improve the quality of services and build in working efficiencies.”
Fundamental to the quality of services has been Quayclean’s directly employed model.
“All Quayclean workers are directly employed under the Cleaning Services Award.
There is no sub-contracting of services, and this continuity has allowed us to identify new leaders who we will support with career development and training to advance their careers with the company,” Piwkowski explains.
