Signbox to demonstrate DTAG100i digital signage solution at Marketing Week Live 2014
Leading architectural signs specialist to introduce innovative digital signage solution at Marketing Week Live from 25th to 26th June.
Leading architectural signs specialist, Signbox, will be introducing its DTAG100i innovative digital signage solution tomorrow.
The device, the latest addition to the company's products portfolio from partner, Dot Origin, will be demonstrated on the Signbox stand (C375) at Marketing Week Live (25th- 26th June 2014, Olympia Grand, London).
DTAG100i is a unique device that uses short-range wireless technology, including Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Near Field Communications (NFC), to enable increased consumer interactivity and brand engagement with digital signage, kiosks and in-store point-of-sale systems. Unlike other NFC tags and iBeacon solutions, the DTAG100i can be dynamically updated with new content and identity information via USB. This allows brand-owners to create engaging marketing experiences and ensure that activities happening on consumers' mobile phone are synchronised with those occurring on a big screen.
DTAG100i enables user information to be sent directly from mobile apps to in-store digital screens, without requiring Wi-Fi or mobile internet coverage. This provides a truly personalised experience that can include immediate, permission-based transfer of shopper IDs, loyalty and product preference information, as well as offline store check-in and other applications.
While the BLE technology incorporated into the DTAG100i has been developed and licensed according to the official Apple iBeacon specifications, the device also supports alternative, proprietary and virtual beacons, plus dynamic beacon attributes and real-time scan activity logging. DTAG100i's powerful dual-processor design also allows the firmware to be securely upgraded via USB, making it both convenient to manage in the field, and fully future-proof.
"Our original DTAG100 provided the ideal solution for NFC-enabling digital signage, and the new DTAG100i represents a natural evolution of this concept, adding full support for Bluetooth Low Energy and Apple iBeacon technology," says Dan Isaaman, Dot Origin's joint CEO and mobile technology expert. "Many customers have been asking for iBeacon solutions that simply cannot be delivered using other products on the market, and we believe we have created something truly unique and exciting for advertisers and agencies to build their campaigns around. We are delighted to be working with SignBox, who have created an amazing portfolio of unique signage solutions."
Mark Bartlett, Managing Director of Signbox, comments: "We strongly believe in the growth and development of digital signage solutions, and DTAG100i strengthens our product offering." He adds: "This device further enhances consumers' experience and brand engagement. With barcode and mag-stripe reader emulation capabilities, the DTAG100i enables short-range wireless redemption of vouchers at the point of sale and other similar EPoS integrations. This capability, together with the additional advanced functionalities offered by the system, opens up a new range of marketing opportunities."
