UK Resource Efficiency Specialist Appoints New Managing Director
James, who started at ecosurety as a graduate trainee, has generated almost 60 per cent of the company's turnover since he joined in 2009.
His new role will include developing the company's strategic direction in conjunction with ecosurety's board. He will also continue to support relationships with ecosurety's largest brand members, which include The Co-operative, Mars and Britvic.
James will also oversee the appointment of an operations director and a number of non-executive advisors as part of ecosurety's vision to become the most popular compliance services provider for companies affected by producer regulations.
James, who has worked across all compliance departments, including marketing, sales and IT, was named South West Institute of Directors (IoD) Young Director of the Year in June.
He has implemented a number of internal processes that led to ecosurety receiving an Investors in People Gold Award at the start of the year, and lobbies the waste and recycling industry on key issues.
Additionally, he is the leader of the circularity scheme which is due to be unveiled in September with the purpose of increasing the transparency of the Packing Waste Recovery Note (PRN) system.
James says, "It's exciting to take a lead role in one of the most dynamic and forward-looking organisations in the waste and recycling industry. I've had fantastic support from an incredible team and I look forward to working with them to grow the business to the next stage."
Staff numbers at ecosurety have increased recently by 28 per cent with appointees including fourteen graduates.
