WPS Announces Senior Hire

WPS has further strengthened its servicing team with the appointment of Mike Allen as National Service Manager in the UK.

WPS, one of the UK's leading parking equipment manufacturers, has further strengthened its servicing team with the appointment of Mike Allen as National Service Manager. With 30 years of M&E installation and servicing experience, Mike will help to further extend WPS' industry-leading reputation for product reliability, and service and maintenance excellence.

Mike joins WPS from Gilgen Door Systems, where he managed a large team of service engineers. He was attracted to WPS because of its technology, and its strategy to deliver a best-in-class customer experience. His arrival coincides with the introduction of new software that streams live information on system performance, servicing schedules, and the exact location of replacement parts and spares when needed.

"It will help our engineers to be even more proactive, productive and efficient," he explains, "and therefore giving our customers an even better service.

"We are also introducing enhanced engineer training on new products and upgrades, and ensuring our engineers know and understand our customers and their sites. We are ensuring that we have a robust business strategy in terms of number of field engineers and replacement parts that are available."

Simon Jarvis, Managing Director of WPS, says Mike's appointment and the company's commitment to servicing and maintenance has become even more important as the business continues to grow: "Our response times are second to none," he explains, "with an ethos of right-first-time on all servicing and repairs, but we can never be complacent. Mike has the experience and skill-sets to further improve our customer service as our portfolio expands."
