Appointment of Independent Director

Rentokil Initial plc (the "Company") announces that Chris Geoghegan has today been appointed as the new Senior Independent Director of the Company.

Chris joined the Board in June 2016 and was previously on the Board of Directors of BAE Systems plc from 2000 until 2007, where he worked as Joint Chief Operating Officer.

Chris has also worked in a series of senior executive roles at Airbus and British Aerospace over a 34 year executive career and has a wealth of commercial experience of complex, international companies. He is a former Chairman of e2v technologies plc and Hampson Industries plc, and former Senior Independent Director of Kier Group plc and Volex plc. Chris is a Council Member and past president of the Society of British Aerospace Companies and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

As previously announced, Alan Giles, a Non-Executive Director of the Company since 2006, is due to retire at the close of today's annual general meeting. He will resign as Senior Independent Director, as Chairman of the Remuneration Committee, and as a member of the Audit and Nomination Committees at that time. Chris Geoghegan will also succeed Alan Giles as the Chairman of the Remuneration Committee.
