QMS Certification for EMCOR UK

EMCOR UK recently achieved international ISO 9001:2015 certification for the quality of its management system.

In order to achieve conformity with the standard, an organisation is required to:

  • demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customers' and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and

  • show how it aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system; including processes for continuous improvement and providing assurance of future conformity to customers; and

  • meet all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

EMCOR UK demonstrated its greater emphasis on leadership management, evidenced its capacity to address organisational risks, and established simplification of the language in its management systems.

Keith Chanter, CEO, EMCOR UK, commented: "Following ISO 9001:2015 principles, the company has increased the efficiency with which it can meet customer challenges and enhance customer satisfaction across its diverse portfolio. Amongst other things, enhanced customer satisfaction is the result of the effective application of a new quality management system, including processes for improvements, and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements."

Tania Murray, UK Head of Client Propositions at BSI, said: "With ever increasing demands on businesses to deliver on quality, price, and service, one of the most effective ways to improve the confidence of customers is through a quality management system that has been rigorously certified by an independent body. EMCOR UK's certification to ISO 9001:2015 is recognition of a business that is committed to monitoring and managing quality across all operations to ensure consistent performance and service."
