2019 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index
In 2018 the group undertook an internal Gender Balance Study to expand previous research on the business case for women in leadership to the business case for parity in representation of men and women in management positions and continues to champion gender equality as a strategic imperative.
Women currently make up 37 per cent of Sodexo's Executive Committee and 54 per cent of its Board of Directors, and are additionally represented in gender networks across the global organisation.
Sodexo has re-iterated its goal of achieving a minimum 40 per cent representation of women in senior leadership positions by 2025 - a target linked to 10 per cent of annual bonuses paid out to senior executives (both male and female).
"We applaud Sodexo and the other 229 firms tracked by the index for their action to measure gender equality through the Bloomberg GEI framework," said Peter T. Grauer, Chairman of Bloomberg and Founding Chairman of the U.S. 30% Club.
"Sodexo's GEI inclusion is a strong indicator to its employees, investors and industry peers alike that it is leading by example to advance ongoing efforts for a truly inclusive workplace."
