Pinnacle Bank Arena Posts Record Revenues

Pinnacle Bank Arena, a multipurpose sport and entertainment venue in Lincoln, Nebraska, has announced a record financial year since opening a decade ago.

The venue which celebrated its 10th anniversary in August, has also welcomed its 6 millionth guest.

Concerts by some of today’s most high-profile artists in 2023, like Morgan Wallen, Kenny Chesney, Shania Twain and more, led to increased ticket purchases and gross sales for the venue.

A major highlight this year for Pinnacle Bank Arena included a performance by country star Zach Bryan who took the stage on his “Burn, Burn, Burn” tour in front of a sold-out crowd during the venue’s 10th anniversary celebration on Aug. 29, 2023, making it the best-selling concert at the arena year to date.

Responsible for millions in economic impact each year, Pinnacle Bank Arena remains one of the region’s most significant forces in driving economic growth.

The arena rebounded successfully from the pandemic-shuttered 2020, gradually increasing its lineup of events each year.

The venue has been experiencing a steady incline in ticket sales year after year, including a 268% jump in gross ticket sales from 2021 to 2022.

Managed by ASM Global, the 15,500-seat arena has hosted up to 200 events per year, ranging from national concert tours with top-selling artists, major sporting events, and University of Nebraska basketball games to graduations, conventions and more.

Basketball attendance has made the Nebraska’s men’s team one of the top-supported programs in the country

Notable events over the past decade include George Strait’s concert in April 2022, which posted the venue’s largest gross ticket sales ever, as well as sold-out shows featuring acts like Garth Brooks, Elton John, Michael Bublé, Justin Bieber, P!NK and many more.

Exciting sporting events such as the NSAA Boys and Girls State Basketball and Volleyball Championships, Light Welterweight Championship Boxing Match between Terence Crawford vs.

Julius Indongo and B1G Wrestling Championships also drove attendance and revenue at the arena.

Part of ASM Global’s corporate social responsibility platform, ASM Global Acts, Pinnacle Bank Arena has been committed to its community through partnerships with local philanthropic organizations.

Throughout the past decade, the venue has partnered for various charitable initiatives, including donating US $15,000 of food items to local charities, contributing hundreds of tickets to local organizations, and hosting several P.B.A. events honoring children in need and fallen police officers as well as acting as a mass vaccination clinic site in 2021 and more.

“Basketball attendance has made the Nebraska’s men’s team one of the top-supported programs in the country, and we’ve grabbed the attention of the top promoters and agents nationwide allowing us to host high-calibers concerts and events regularly,” says Tim Savona, the venue's general manager. “We have no doubt that our events have helped to put Lincoln on the sports and entertainment industry map; and at the same time, we also are fully committed to the local community and surrounding region, hosting events from graduation ceremonies to charity benefits.

We are incredibly proud of our team’s efforts over the past 10 years and are excited for what we will be able to accomplish over the next decade and beyond.”
