A distribution agreement between drainage firm Jet Through and Green Drain Europe will introduce an innovative floor drain trap seal product to the UK market.
The floor drain trap seal allows for the flow of water but blocks harmful gases including methane, chlorine and hydrogen sulfide – as well as other odours and pests – from emerging from pipes into the atmosphere.
The seal which is available in five different sizes features a UV resistant frame combined with four sealing flanges that fit across older and modern openings.
The product, which was initially launched in the USA in 2021, is set to be installed by Jet Through engineers in various UK-based healthcare settings, as well as in factories, hotels, restaurants and retail.
Luke Yates is Associate Director at Jet Through, whose services include the cleaning, unblocking, jetting and repair of drainage systems on commercial and residential properties.
