STRABAG Property and Facility Services GmbH (STRABAG PFS) has entered into an agreement to acquire 100 per cent of the share capital of Austrian electrical engineering and IT infrastructure solutions providers Elektro-Kagerer GmbH and Kagerer Services GmbH.
The acquisition expands the integrated property and facilities management company's portfolio in building technology, and strengthens its market position as a building solutions Provider in Austria.
The Kagerer Group is a well-established company with over 120 employees and an annual turnover of around €23 million.
The company specialises in electrical engineering, IT infrastructure solutions, photovoltaic systems, and technical maintenance and repair.
With branches in Pasching and Vienna, and a broad customer base across the commercial and residential construction sectors, the group is a leading building technology service provider in the region.
"With the Kagerer Group, we are acquiring an established regional partner with impressive technical expertise and a strong skills-based heritage," says Stefan Babsch, Managing Director of the STRABAG PFS Group. "This acquisition is a logical step within our corporate strategy.
The service areas of technical and infrastructural facility management and building technology are increasingly converging.
"Adding Kagerer's capabilities we allow us to offer comprehensive services from a single source across Upper Austria and the Linz region.
Our combined expertise in sustainable building operations, decarbonisation and modernisation cover the entire lifecycle of properties.
We extend a very warm welcome to all employees joining our group."
Kagerer will be integrated into the STRABAG PFS Group, with all existing roles in the organisation being retained.
Employees will benefit from new career development prospects and extensive training opportunities within the STRABAG Group.
In the future, Kagerer Group customers will benefit from an expanded range of services and digitised business processes from the STRABAG PFS Group.
"Our integration into the STRABAG PFS Group is a significant step in the development of our company.
It will enable us to offer our customers an even more comprehensive range of services and to position ourselves in new market segments.
"This puts us in an ideal position for the future," adds Christian Ebner, Managing Director of the Kagerer Group.
The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval, with the transaction expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
