Harris Health, the public healthcare provider for Harris County in Texas, is one of several organizations to have been targeted by the recent MOVEit cyberattack.
The healthare system has announced the implementation of security safeguards to counter a vulnerability in managed file transfer software targeted in the attach, additionally engaging third-party cybersecurity experts as it continues to determine the precise nature and scope of the incident.
It reports all other systems which operate independently of the MOVEit software have not been impacted, with The Harris Health network remaining fully functional and operational without any impact on patient care or services.
Harris Health will be reaching out to all impacted individuals during the coming weeks and has established a call center to answer concerns or questions from the public.
