Supporting a Challenging Hospital Project

A ground-breaking screening solution has helped to protect staff and patients during the construction of a Rare Diseases Centre at a major London hospital.

Plasloc, which specialises in hygienic and easily assembled screening solutions, set up innovative hoardings on a children's ward at St Thomas' Hospital in London.

Specialist installers used screening to create a hygienic tunnel to allow passage to the ward when outer walls were undergoing demolition.

"Since our establishment in 2011, we have worked on over five thousand different projects and this has provided us with the experience necessary to undertake such an important project," says Plasloc founder, Steve Matthews.

"By supplying our product to St Thomas's Hospital, we are pleased to have contributed to the completion of such a vital development and are delighted that our screening solutions allowed the staff to continue with their work in a safe and hygienic manner."

Plasloc boasts an expert in-house design team which helps to ensure its partitions are tailored to client needs. For the installation at St Thomas, lights were located along the passage, and screening was specially designed to allow patients and staff access to completed areas.

Steve adds: "At Plasloc we pride ourselves not just on our product, but also on our professionalism. Our installers were required to work on a busy hospital ward and their efficiency and care meant that they caused minimal disruption to staff and patients."

Over the course of its life so far, Plasloc has gained a reputation for producing an incredibly versatile product that is suitable for any environment, be this internal or external. The company has also established a network of over three hundred different clients, including Amazon, Tesco and the BBC, and is set to continue growing in 2018.
